New Delhi, Dec 20 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the main opposition party in Parliament boycotted Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday when he stood up to give an answer during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha.
BJP demanded Chidambaram's resignation, alleging that he had misused his office to help a local businessman he once represented as a lawyer.
It also decided to submit a privilege notice against Chidambaram for speaking on the issue outside Parliament.
Earlier, Chidambaram had denied in front of media that he or his ministry had given any order to the Delhi Police to drop all cases against SP Gupta, a former client of Chidambaram.
The Congress Party defended Chidambaram from the opposition attacks, by saying the he had never met Gupta when he was his lawyer. (ANI)
