Manmohan Singh condoles death of Mamata Banerjee's mother

Moscow, Dec 17 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today condoled the death of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's mother Gayatri Devi.
" I was deeply sorry to hear of the passing away of your mother this morning, I know how close she was to you and I can feel your pain and sense of loss at this sad happening," Dr. Singh, who is in Moscow on a three-day visit for the 12th annual Indo-Russian Summit, said in the message.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with you, please accept my most sincere condolence," he added.
Gayatri Devi, 81, died at a state-run hospital in Kolkata this morning.
She had been suffering from age related ailments and had been on life support system since the past fortnight.
She is survived by three sons and a daughter. (ANI)
