New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders met here on Tuesday and discussed their future course of action as they gear up to corner the government in parliament on the issues of the Lokpal Bill and black money.
The meeting was attended by senior BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitely Rajiv Pratap Rudy and S.S. Ahluwalia.
Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, Ahluwalia said his party would press for the incorporation of certain provisions in the anti-graft bill, which they feel would help to make the institution of the anti-corruption watchdog more strong and effective.
"Tomorrow, we are going to discuss on the adjournment motion, on black money in Lok Sabha and they (Congress) are going to bring Lokpal bill also. Tomorrow, government has called an all party meeting to discuss the nitty gritty of the Lokpal bill. Our members have already given dissent note in the report, we will push that, we will press that in the tomorrow's meeting," he said.
The BJP has also taken the government to task for its lacklustre approach as it failed to take adequate steps to bring the black money that has been stashed in off-shore banks.
Advani had on Friday said that the lawmakers from his party had submitted a declaration, in which they mentioned that they had no black money stashed in any of banks situated in foreign countries. (ANI)
