Washington, Dec 12 (ANI): Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said that winds of change have started to blow in the country, and urged the youth to end the politics of "liars and gangsters."
"Pakistan has no shortage of gas and petrol, as it is blessed with all the natural resources. Had the rulers worked honestly, there would have been no problems. The only dearth Pakistan has is the dearth of good and honest leadership," The Nation quoted Musharraf, as saying.
While announcing his scheduled return to Pakistan before March 23 next year, Musharraf said the prevailing situation in the country was bothering him.
"I visited Thatta thrice during my tenure as President and announced hundreds of millions for the cyclone affected people but the present rulers had plundered the national exchequer instead of resolving the problems of poor," he said.
"The poor have been made to live a life of slaves to ministers, assembly members and the bureaucracy. The economy of country has been destroyed and nobody knows who runs the country. Every person is trying to gain for self and does not realize the effects of skyrocketing prices, unemployment, law and order etc," Musharraf added. (ANI)
