Communal tension in Maharashtra's Dhule district, four killed

Dhule (Maharashtra), Oct 6 (ANI): The death toll in group clashes and police firing has risen to four in Dhule district of Maharashtra today.

 

There is no relaxation in curfew which was imposed on Sunday. No untoward incident has been reported since last night.

 

Clashes began on Sunday morning at Lal Kandil Chowk after people of two communities allegedly clashed when banners of a Hindu outfit were found damaged.

 

Police had to fire in the air and use tear-gas to control the mob. Additional forces have also been called in and the situation is still tense. (ANI)
