BSF oorganises shooting contest in Gujarat

Palanpur (Gujarat), Oct 5 (IANS) The Border Security Force (BSF) organised an inter-battalion shooting competition at a firing range in Banaskantha district of north Gujarat near the international border with Pakistan.
The 10-day competition, which started Sep 25, saw the participation of 12 battalions at Dantiwada, 27 km from here.
The 99 battalion of BSF Dantiwada was declared champion, and 78 battalion and 117 battalion were runners-up.
Addressing the officers and jawans, BSF Inspector General (Gujarat Frontier) Gopal Singh Shekhawat said, 'A jawan is known by his physical fitness and shooting efficiency.'
