Karamjit's hat-trick in Namdhari XI victory
Riding on Karamjit Singh fine hat-trick Namdhari XI scored a 3-2 victory over their rivals Bharat Petroleum in their opening Group ‘B’ quarterfinal league match of the fourth Oriental Bank Maharaja Ranjit Singh hockey tournament played at the Shivaji Stadium here on Wednesday.
Namdhari team shot ahead as early in the seventh minute of the game through Karamjit but Amar Aiyamma pulled one back four minutes later to restore parity for the petroleum team.

Jarnail Singh struck one more in the 19th minute for BPCL to take his team ahead.
Karamjit came to the rescue of Namdhari team midway through the first-half as he drew the levels striking his second goal of the match. Both the teams went into the breather with a 2-2 scoreline.
Wonder boy Karamjit shone again as he scored the match-winner ten minutes before the final hooter to seal the fate of the opponents.
