Melbourne, November 11 (ANI): Prince William will be away from Kate for six weeks, as part of a service deployment.

The Duke of Cambridge is a Flight Lieutenant with the RAF and will be deployed to Falkland Islands, where he will fly search and rescue helicopter missions from February to March, the Telegraph reported.

Conditions on the base have been described as 'bleak' with not many facilities including a lack of cash machines.

The suggested clothing includes walking socks, fleeces and thermal underwear while officers have to bring a shirt and tie.

Under luxury items he may want to take along with him, the MoD website has advised lavatory rolls, tissues, washing powder, toothpaste and his favourite shampoo.

Prince William is qualified as an RAF Search and Rescue Force (Sarf) helicopter co-pilot and has been intensifying his work to qualify for captaincy.

The experience he will gain Falklands and the flying hours he will gain will help him achieve his goal. (ANI)
