Cape Town/London, Nov.11 (ANI): Newspapers around the world have gone to town about Australia's collapse in their second innings against South Africa in the Cape Town Test.
Replying to South Africa's total of 96 in their first innings, Australia were bundled out for 47 on day two of the First Test match with South Africa at the Sahara Park. South Africa replied with 81 for one in their second innings and need a further 155 to win the match.
Britain's Daily Mail did not hide its glee, stating in its headline: "47! Former kings of the world Australia slump to their lowest score in 109 years on an astonishing day in Cape Town."
"On a day when unwanted batting records were broken, Australia's collapse was the most significant as they only narrowly avoided the lowest ever Test total," Britain's The Guardian newspaper said. (ANI)
