'The glasses of Steve Jobs' selling like hotcakes

Melbourne , Thu, 10 Nov 2011 ANI

Melbourne, Nov 10(ANI): Sales of Steve Jobs' signature glasses have soared following the death of the former Apple Inc. chief last month.

According to news.com.au, the German Lunor Classic Rund PP glasses, which were designed by Robert Marc and are retailing for 450-495 dollars, have sold out at Marc's eight New York stores.

Customers eyeing the glasses, being marketed on Lunor's website as "The glasses of Steve Jobs", are now being put on a 12-week waiting list.

"After [Jobs] passed, many, many clients and customers asked for these glasses. People see these (glasses) as a tribute to Mr. Jobs," said marketing executive Garck Tsui, who is responsible for the glasses' distribution in Asia.

Jobs had bought his first pair of the glasses in 1998, and was drawn to the "simplicity and purity of the frame design". (ANI)
