BJP leader shot dead in Madhya Pradesh town

Bhopal, Oct 3 (IANS) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's Jabalpur district's vice-president was shot dead by two motorcycle borne youths after he was dropped off close to his village by a former health minister, the police said Friday.

 

Kshatri Yadav, vice-president of BJP's Jabalpur district rural unit, was returning to his village from nearby Patan town with former health minister Ajay Vishnoi. Two unidentified persons shot him and he succumbed to the injuries at hospital in Jabalpur, the police said.

 

 

Yadav was shot near Manni Mehgavan village after the former minister left him near his village.

 

 

Assembly elections are a few weeks away in Madhya Pradesh.
