BJP flays Digvijay Singh for fooling people in MP

Bhagalpur , Sun, 06 Nov 2011 ANI

Bhagalpur, Nov. 6 (ANI): Flaying Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said the people of Madhya Pradesh dethroned him from the state because he deceived them during his regime.

"Digvijay Singh sees everybody as a fraud in nation except himself. He himself had fooled the people of Madhya Pradesh, that's why people of Madhya Pradesh have ousted him. When he was in power in Madhya Pradesh he has only done the work of fooling people there," BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain told the media in Bihar's Bhagalpur city.

Hussain further said Digvijay Singh should maintain distance from veteran social activist Anna Hazare because if his shadow falls on any person, then that person would never be able to tread on the right path.

"What Digvijay sing has said about Anna Hazare that Hazare is surrounded of wrong people and have left people like him. So it is a good thing that Hazare is away from the people like Digvijay Singh. On whomsoever, the shadow of Digvijay Singh will fall, that person would never be able to tread on the right path," said Hussain.

"See whether Congress appoints Rahul Gandhi as the chief of the working committee or the prime minister it won't make any difference as the popularity of the Congress has declined. And when a ship is about to sink even if you will change the captain of the ship he cannot save it from sinking," he added.

Digvijay Singh had earlier in the day said Anna Hazare is surrounded by some very ambitious and smart people, who do not allow him to understand the nuances of the issue of corruption.

Responding to a question on the recent arrest of Uttar Pradesh IPS officer, who dared to speak out against corruption in his Fire Services Department, Hussain said the BJP strongly condemn this act of the Mayawati Government, and added that this government would be ousted soon.

"The way an official in Uttar Pradesh has blamed Mayawati Government of corruption charges, the chief minister Mayawati should have ordered an investigation but she had sent the person who levied the charges to the mental asylum and the corrupt people are freely enjoying outside," said Hussain.

"So, today the Mayawati Government is completely engulfed in corruption and she has become a dictator. And this is the result of the autocratic rule of this government that the officials who raise their voice against corruption are treated in this way and the Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns this act," he added.

Devendra Dutt Mishra, currently the Deputy Inspector General of Fire Service Department, had on Friday lashed out at the Mayawati administration and cited incidents in which certain officers in the lower hierarchy had indulged in various corrupt activities.

Mishra, who was forcibly admitted to the Trauma Centre of the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSSMU) IN Lucknow, has virtually been declared 'mentally unstable' on the basis of a report prepared by psychiatrists. (ANI)
