New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): 'Real Steel' beats out George Clooney starrer 'Ides of March' for the number 1 spot at the North America box office, grossing 27.3 million US dollars over the weekend.
According to audience review aggregator CinemaScore, the DreamWorks' robot-boxing movie, which opened at 3,440 locations in the US and Canada scored and average grade of A from moviegoers, stars Hugh Jackman in the lead role who trains a bunch of robots to box for a living, Xinhua reported.
The 'Ides of March', which is based on an off-Broadway plat 'Farragut North' by Beau Willimon.opened at number 2 with 10.4 million dollars from 2,199 theatres, shows Clooney playing a newbie presidential candidate who gets a crash course from one of his staffer on dirty politics during his stint on the campaign trail.
'Dolphin Tale' earned revenue of 9.2 million dollars in its third week of screening, whereas 'Moneyball' landed fourth in the list of most-popular North American movies this weekend.
