Hindon, Oct 8 (ANI): Indian Air Force (IAF) chief N A K Browne on Saturday said that the security scenario across India's frontiers is fragile and to a great extent uncertain according to the Chief of Air Staff.

Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the 79th Air Force Day celebrations held at the Hindon airbase, Browne said: "The environment at this point of time is very fragile and is uncertain and it is for that reason the message that I gave to the air warriors in the Indian Air Force, to be ever vigilant and ever prepared because how the situations will pan out in the next months or next couple of years is highly uncertain. Therefore, the important lesson here is that we have to be prepared."

The IAF Chief had recently said that Pakistan reels under persistent militant violence and stability in internal security there appears far-fetched.

Responding to a poser on the latest crash of MiG 21aircraft, Browne said that crashes are a result of inexperienced pilots who are unable to manage during the landing.

"As far as the two-three recent accidents that we have had on the MIG-21, unfortunately, accept for in one case, in other cases are pointing towards inexperienced young pilots, who have not been able to handle the landing and the approach in those areas," he added.

On Friday, during a routine sortie a MiG 21 fighter plane crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer District

The pilot, Flying Officer Amit Sethi managed to eject just in time and escaped unhurt. (ANI)
