Chennai, Oct 1 (IANS) India's leading car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd Wednesday said it has sold 46,222 units in September 2008, compared to 27,517 units sold in the same period last year.
'We are optimistic about maintaining the same momentum' in the upcoming festive season, Hyundai senior vice-president (marketing and sales) Arvind Saxena said.
The segment-wise cumulative sales for the last month are: A2 (Santro, i10, Getz Prime) 39,899 units; A3 (Accent, Verna) 6,305 units; A5 (Sonata, Embera) 14 units and sports utility vehicle Tuscon four units.
