WAGs find Brownlow's fashion expectation stressful: Amy Burgoyne

Melbourne , Mon, 26 Sep 2011 ANI

Melbourne, Sept 26 (ANI): The Brownlow Medal event is claimed to have become so increasingly obsessed with the fashion of the AFL players' wives that some WAGs are finding it extremely difficult to cope up with the pressure of expectations.

Amy Burgoyne, wife of former Port Adelaide premiership player and Hawthorn star Shaun, who will be attending her third medal count, said that the pressure to look like a supermodel is ruining the Medal for some partners of the AFL stars.

"There is a lot of expectation put on football wives and girlfriends, that you are a supermodel, but we're just normal, regular girls, a lot of us are mums," the Herald Sun quoted her as saying.

"I take it with a good attitude and a bit of fun, but I think there's a lot of girls out there that find it really stressful," she added.

Few years back, Burgoyne made the worst-dressed list. (ANI)
