Three coalition soldiers killed in Afghanistan
Kabul, Sep 30 (Xinhua) Three coalition soldiers were killed in a roadside side bomb attack in southern Afghanistan, the military said in a statement Tuesday.
'Three coalition service members were killed Sep 29 (Monday) in southern Afghanistan, when the vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device),' a statement issued by the coalition forces said.
However, it did not disclose the name and nationality of the deceased.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
The US-led coalition forces have been deployed in the volatile southern Afghanistan to maintain law and order as well as to assist in the reconstruction work.
More than 4,000 people have been killed in insurgency related violence in Afghanistan so far this year.
