London, Sept 22(ANI): A 24-hour satellite news channel, Jewish News One will will begin airing today in Europe, and is slated to premiere in the US.
JN1 will air initially in English, but will eventually be offered in eight other languages.
"In the coming months we expect the channel to be available in the US. We are in the process of making agreements with US [satellite] operators," JN1's Brussels-based coordinator, Alexander Zanzer said.
"The channel would like to give a broad view on world events through Jewish glasses," Zanzer added.
JN1 seems to be similar to al-Jazeera, the cable network catering to the Arab world, the New York Post reports.
JN1,which has bureaus in Brussels, Tel Aviv, New York and Kiev, was founded by billionaire Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky and fellow Ukrainian Vadim Rabinovich.
According to ynetnews.com, the owners have invested five million dollars into the launching of the channel. (ANI)
