Penguin 'Happy Feet' feared eaten by a killer whale
London, Sept 13 (ANI): An emperor penguin, who stole the hearts of millions worldwide after washing up on a New Zealand beach miles from his Antarctic home in June, is reportedly missing.
The scientists, who released 'Happy Feet' into the Antarctic Ocean on September 4 with a GPS tracking device attached to him, fear that he may have fallen prey to a killer whale.
They said they had not received any transmissions since last Friday from the tracking device.
'Happy Feet' was found wandering on the Peka Peka beach, north of Wellington, in June. He was gravely ill after eating sand he mistook for snow. (ANI)
