Mathura, Sep 10(ANI): Thousands of devotees of Lord Krishna from across the country thronged to Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday to offer 21,000 kilograms of different varieties of dishes, popularly known as 'chhappan bhog' (lavish feast comprising of 56 dishes).

Devotees even chanted hymns and sang devotional songs in praise of Lord Krishna and decorated the idol splendidly.
"With a lot of devotion we came here to offer our prayers to the lord. The ornamentation done is very attractive and we have not seen such a thing ever before," said Renu Aggarwal, a devotee.
The food is initially offered to Lord Krishna and then distributed among all the devotees and priests of different temples. (ANI)
