Hyderabad, Sep 10(ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M. Venkaiah Naidu today criticized Congress leader Digvijay Singh for alleging that the BJP was involved with the Reddy brothers, arrested for illegal mining in Karnataka.
Addressing mediapersons in Hyderabad, Naidu said that as a member of the ruling party, Singh could order a probe into the matter.
He also said that the BJP had no connection at all with the illegal mining syndicate.
"He is in the government. His party is ruling the country. Let him have an enquiry ordered into, failing so, he should be sent to a mental asylum as suggested by Shri Anna Hazare. This was my reaction in Delhi seven days back. If he has got guts, if he has got commitment, I challenge him to get an enquiry ordered into," Naidu said.
"We have no connection whatsoever. We have no business to be in business, leave alone mining or Bellary. We have no connection whatsoever," he added.
Naidu also accused the Central government of harassing state governments ruled by the BJP. (ANI)
