Trott thrilled at being short-listed for ICC Awards

London, Sep 9(ANI): England batsman Jonathan Trott has said that he is thrilled at being short-listed for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Awards, which will be presented at a ceremony in London on September 12.
Trott has been nominated in three categories - ICC Cricketer of the Year, ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year and the LG People's Choice Award.
"It is not something you think about when you are playing. But what nomination brings with it some good and fond memories," Trott said.
"I think the nominations shows plenty of England players in all categories. It shows how we have been a successful as a side over the past year and how everyone has contributed to it," he added.
This year's ICC Awards includes 10 individual prizes, including the LG People's Choice Award and also features a newly designed Spirit of Cricket Award which honours a moment by an international player that has most adhered to the Spirit of Cricket.
The eighth annual awards will be presented in association with the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations (FICA). (ANI)
