London, Sep 6(ANI): Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's troubled start to the season has continued, as the club's appeal against his two-match touchline ban has been rejected by UEFA.

Wenger will now be forced to watch Arsenal's first two Champions League group games against Borussia Dortmund and Olympiacos from the stand.

"The UEFA Appeals Body has rejected the appeal lodged by Arsenal FC and Arsene Wenger against the two-match suspension handed to the manager in the wake of the English club's UEFA Champions League play-off first leg against Udinese Calcio on 16 August," the Telegraph quoted a UEFA statement, as saying.

Wenger was banned after he breached a previous one-match ban when he relayed messages to the Arsenal dugout from the grandstand during the first leg of the club's Champions League playoff against Udinese in London.

Arsenal were also fined 10,000 euros as further punishment for the behaviour of their manager. (ANI)
