MacBook Air ready for Indian Markets
Apple’s MacBook Air the world’s thinnest notebook is launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 96,100.
The thinnest notebook comes with a 13” display and convenient full size keyboard. Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple said, “We’ve built the world’s thinnest notebook without sacrificing a full-size keyboard or a full-size 13-inch display.

The MacBook measures 0.16 inches at its thinnest point, and has a height of 0.76 inches. The notebook has 13.3 inch LED backlit widescreen display, a full size backlit keyboard, a built in camera for video conferencing and a track pad with multi touch gesture support.
It is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 MBI2 cache with 2GB memory, 80 GB 1.8- inch hard drive with latest 802.11N Wi-Fi network and five hour battery life and Bluetooth.
MacBook Air SuperDrive is an external drive powered by a USB port, which frees its user to carry a separate power adapter. There is Time Capsule to wirelessly backup files to access the optical drives on remote PCS to wirelessly install software application on this notebook.
The notebook comes with migration Assistant software that helps users to transfer files and applications from old Mac to the new MacBook Air over the wireless easily.
To make online photo and video sharing much easier the notebook is supported with updated iLife 08 to Apple’s digital lifestyle applications.
Interestingly this notebook comes with eco-friendly materials such as an aluminum enclosure, mercury free LCD display and arsenic free glass.
