Three people killed, several injured in Lahore train collision

Lahore, August 30(ANI): Three people were killed and several other wounded in a collision between two trains at the Badami Bagh railway crossing in Lahore on Tuesday.

According to sources, the Khyber Mail coming from Karachi crashed into the Babu train, which was standing at the Badami Bagh railway crossing, Geo TV reports.

The Babu train had made an unscheduled stop there due to an accident that had killed a child, when the following Khyber Mail collided into it.

This resulted in the overturning of a bogie and the deaths of the driver of Khyber Mail, a child and a passenger, while many others sustained injuries.

Rescue efforts are underway at the accident site, while the injured persons have been shifted to hospitals. (ANI)
