Maroon 5 Frontman Adam Levine slams 'pretending' MTV on Twitter

Washington, Aug 29 (ANI): Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has come out all guns blazing against MTV, as he took to Twitter to dismiss the network's Video Music Awards show.

"The VMA's. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I'm drawing a line in the sand. [expletive] you VMA's," Fox News quoted him as tweeting.

MTV didn't seem to have minded Levine's slap down that much, as it posted a follow-up tweet inviting him to tune into the televised ceremony.

However, Levine maintained his point and defended his bluntness with another tweet.

"I may be a pop singer. but every once in a while the angsty teenager in me just blurts out some raw honesty. it's a reflex," he wrote in the posting. (ANI)
