Manmohan Singh hopes deadlock over Lokpal Bill will end
New Delhi, Aug 27(ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has that he was hopeful of the deadlock over the Lokpal Bill will end soon.
When asked if the deadlock over the issue would end today, Dr. Singh said: "I hope so".
Veteran social activist Anna Hazare, who is currently on a fast for the Jan Lokpal Bill, has placed three conditions before the government.
The conditions includes the inclusion of the lower bureaucracy in the Lokpal Bill, appointment of Lokayuktas in all states and implementation of citizens charter for a time bound disposal of public grievances in government offices.
Hazare has been on fast since August 16, the day he was arrested and taken to Tihar Jail.
He was released the same day, but he refused to leave Tihar Jail. He shifted to Ramlila Ground here on August 19 where he has been continuing with his fast. (ANI)
