London, Aug 23(ANI): Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has won a battle to open a restaurant in Salford, Greater Manchester, in the United Kingdom

Neville, 36, and his father, Neville Neville, would convert a former social club into a food joint despite objections from their neighbours.

The Nevilles' plan was earlier turned down in January after locals complained that opening a restaurant in the locality could create traffic and noise problems, the Daily Star reports.

Nevilles' neighbours revised plans and increased the number of parking spaces to facilitate the project. (ANI)
