New Delhi, Aug.20 (ANI): President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh led the nation in paying tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi today at Vir Bhumi on his 67th Birth Anniversary.
Several Union Ministers, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit and many other dignitaries also attended the remembrance ceremony.
Morning Ragas were played at the samadhi as the country remembered the late beloved leader.
Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by Sri Lankan Tamil separatists while campaigning for general elections at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu on May 21, 1991. (ANI)
