I genuinely don't think I have any hold over 'bunny' Tendulkar: Anderson

London , Tue, 09 Aug 2011 ANI

London, Aug 9(ANI): England fast bowler James Anderson has rejected suggestions that he has established some sort of control over Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar.

When Anderson got Tendulkar out leg before in the second innings of the Trent Bridge Test, it was the seventh time he had removed the Little Master in Test matches and the second in the ongoing series.

"A lot of people are starting to mention it, but I genuinely don't think I have anything over him," the Daily Express quoted Anderson, as saying.

"It is really nice to keep getting him out though and hopefully it will continue," he added.

Only Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan has taken Tendulkar's Test wicket more times (eight).

Anderson further said that his self-belief has played a big part in making him a better bowler.

"There are still plenty of times like at Trent Bridge earlier in that second innings, when I felt like I had nowhere to bowl at him. He was hitting me for boundary after boundary," the 29-year-old said.

"With all players as good as he is, it is just a question of hanging in there and hoping that you bowl one too good for him," he added. (ANI)
