Bhubaneswar, July 21 (ANI): India on Thursday successfully test-fired the first flight of Prahaar, a short-range tactical missile, from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur on sea in Orissa.
The missile, which was launched from Launch Complex-III of the ITR at 8.10 a.m., had been under development for the last four years.
The 150-km range, traditional war-head carrying capable missile is equipped with omni-directional warheads and can be used for hitting both tactical and strategic targets.
Prahaar is a road mobile system and can also be deployed in a few minutes time. (ANI)
