Karachi, July 19(ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has deducted a fine of 4.5 million rupees on Shahid Afridi from the dues that were to be paid to the former captain for the World Cup and tour to West Indies, PCB Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed said.
The disciplinary committee of the board had fined Afridi for breach of various clauses of the central contract and code of conduct.
The fine came after a stand off between Afridi and the PCB following his removal as the captain of the ODI team in May.
Afridi had announced his retirement in protest and criticized the board for its conduct and not respecting senior players. (ANI)
