Wright desperate to prove he has a future with Man City

London, July 18 (ANI): Shaun Wright-Phillips is desperate to prove he has a future with Manchester City.
The winger is in the final year of his contract and looks certain to be on his way out, The Sun reports.
But boss Roberto Mancini was impressed as he started and scored in City's North American tour opener against Club America on Saturday and the Italian will keep the door open.
Wright-Phillips, 29, was quoted, as saying: "I'm working hard and I have no intention of going anywhere else. If they want to keep me I want to be here. That would be my ideal scenario and I've told the manager that." (ANI)
