Vadodara, July 14 (ANI): Students in Vadodara today paid homage to victims of the Mumbai blast by lighting candles on the premises of Maharaja Sayajirao University.

They also expressed their sorrow and called on the government to combat militancy firmly.

"We feel really sad when something like this happens and government should do something about it. Being students, we cannot do anything apart from feeling sad for the innocent victims. The yesterday's blast was really bad as many people have died in it," said Gopika.

"As a student, we see small children, their mothers and fathers, all have been killed in the blast. It happened many times before but no action have been taken to stop it, instead the blasts triggered again and again in repetition by the militants killing many innocent people," said Stuti.

The three serial blasts rocked Zaveri Bazaar, a popular jewellery market, the busy business area around Opera House and the crowded Dadar area of Central Mumbai between 6.45 p.m. and 7.04 p.m. (ANI)
