New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): The Vice Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs of Republic of Korea, Han Man Lee, met Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Dr. C.P. Joshi here today to discuss the areas of bi-lateral cooperation.
During discussion both agreed for the formation of a task force to identify such areas in which both the countries could cooperate with each other especially in the area of technology transfer, experience sharing and imparting training and finding other areas of cooperation on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit for signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
It was also agreed that India will encourage more FDI in the road projects on open competitive bidding method.
Thereafter, Dr. Joshi advised the Addl. Secretary and Financial Advisor and Director General (Road Development) of M/o Road Transport and Highways to hold substantive discussions on relevant aspects of bi-lateral co-operation in the sector with the representatives of the various Korean firms. (ANI)
