Ex- national athlete Kaushalendra Singh awarded ex-gratia assistance

New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports Ajay Maken has sanctioned ex-gratia assistance of Rs two lakh to Kaushalendra Singh, a former national athlete physically disabled sportspersons from National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons.
Kaushalendra Singh is suffering from many age related ailments and is now in indigent condition.
Under the scheme of National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports provides lump sum financial assistance to outstanding sportspersons of the past, who are facing financial distress. (ANI)
