World's heaviest man getting married!
Perth, Oct 2 (ANI): The world's heaviest man is getting married to his long-term girlfriend.
Manuel Uribe has revealed that he would marry Claudia Solis on Oct 26 in Monterrey, Mexico, reports Pertnow.
The couple, which met in 2004, would exchange wedding vows in a civil ceremony at a location still to be decided.
Uribe, who was declared the world's heaviest man this year by Guinness Book of World Records, is unable to leave his bed and any outing involves hoisting it onto the back of a truck.
The 43-year-old, who has shed about 250kg since his biggest weight of 560kg in 2006, said he would have a bite of wedding cake for photos but wouldn't have any more because he's on a diet.
The Mexican man expanded his wedding plans after offers of sponsorship from international magazines, television stations and local mayors who offered a cake for 400 guests.
Uribe has also asked a Mexican band called Pesado, or Heavy, to provide the music.
He thanked God for the "miracles he gave to a man who was on the edge of suicide and who today knows love.'' (ANI)
