England thrash Sri Lanka in Trent Bridge ODI to level series

London, July 7(ANI): England thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in a rain-affected ODI at Trent Bridge to level the five-match series at 2-2.
England skipper Alastair Cook scored 95 not out off 75 balls as the hosts cruised to their rain-revised target of 171 with more than 24 overs to spare.
Fellow opener Craig Kieswetter was unbeaten on 72 off 68 balls, The BBC reports.
Earlier in the day, England had bowled Sri Lanka out for just 174 after Cook won the toss and elected to field.
Fast bowler James Anderson finished with match figures of 3-24 from eight overs, while fellow fast bowler Jade Dernbach wrapped up the innings with three wickets in 10 balls to finish with figures off 3-38 off 8.4 overs.
Kumar Sangakkara top-scored for Sri Lanka with 75, while Angelo Mathews scored 39.
The fifth and final ODI will be played at Old Trafford on Saturday. (ANI)
