Facebook to 'launch something awesome' next week

Palo Alto, July 1(ANI): Facebook is preparing to launch a major new feature next week.
Chief Executive and founder Mark Zuckerberg during a visit to the company's Seattle office said Facebook planned to "launch something awesome" next week.
The project was developed at the 40- member staff Seattle office, Facebook's only major engineering hub outside of its headquarters in Palo Alto in California, Zuckerberg said
"We are working on a number of exciting things that we have not yet announced, but stay tuned for next week" the Los Angeles Times quoted Facebook Engineering Director Andrew Bosworth, as saying.
Facebook's Seattle office has played a key role in the website's mobile efforts in the past.
Speculation is rife centered that Facebook would launch an application for Apple's iPad and a photo-sharing application for the iPhone. (ANI)
