Lahore, June 24(ANI): Pakistan batsman Umar Amin has vowed to make a comeback to the national cricket team and is eager to prove his mettle in the upcoming National Twenty20 tournament to be played in Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad from today (Friday).
"I am really sorry for not availing the given chances against England last year but I will bounce back strongly after proving my mettle in the national Twenty20 tournament" the Nation quoted Amin, as saying.
Amin was excluded from the national squad after scoring 40 runs in four innings against England.
He said that he would prove his class in the National Twenty20 tournament and compel the selectors to rethink about his inclusion in the national squad.
He had played for Pakistan 'A' in their 3-0 triumph against Afghanistan last month, has been out of favour after scoring just 99 runs in eight innings.
Umar Amin made his one-day debut against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup where he played three matches and managed just 34 runs. He made his Test debut against Australia. (ANI)
