London, June 22 (ANI): A sales manager in an England marine supplies firm has been accused of bullying and harassing female employees in the office.
Angelina Ashby told an employment tribunal in Sheffield that her former boss Pete Smith put a female colleague across his knee and spanked her after chasing her around the office.
She said Smith also looked at sex toys on the Internet and "encouraged staff to grab his genitals".
Smith is accused alongside some of his colleagues of bullying and harassing Ashby during her time at marine supplies firm Cathelco Limited.
Ashby, of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, claimed she was driven to take anti-depressants after she was subjected to a "continuous course of mistreatment."
The 41-year-old, who worked as a sales coordinator in Cathelco, is claiming constructive dismissal, sexual discrimination and pay discrimination against the company.
"A few days after my formal grievance was submitted, a sales administrator was physically chased round the office by Pete Smith, who then proceeded to put her over his knee and spank her," the Sun quoted her as saying in her witness statement.
"On one occasion he took his time to view sex toys, such as blow up dolls, on the internet.
She also claimed there were "regular incidents" when staff, with whom Smith was on friendly terms, would be "successfully encouraged to grab his genitals". (ANI)
