Manmohan most incompetent PM of India: Advani

Guwahati, Mon, 06 Oct 2008 ANI

Guwahati, Sept 28 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L. K. Advani on Sunday accused Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh of being the "most incompetent" premier and "devaluing" his office.

He also said that Manmohan do not take any decision without consulting Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

Advani, while addressing a Vijay Sangkalpa Samavesh here today, said: "Manmohan Singh, when not a politician, was held in high esteem. But today compared with the past 14 prime ministers of our country, he is the most incompetent."

"No decision is taken without consent from 10 Janpath (residence of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Delhi)," said Advani, and added, "Manmohan Singh has devalued the office of the Prime Minister."

The BJP leader said that after four and half years of UPA rule, only the rich were getting richer while the common man was troubled by price rise and insurgency.

Advani further said, "Farmers are affected and many of them committed suicide unable to return their loans. Besides, there is no pure drinking water, electricity and water for farming in the villages."

The BJP leader further said that the country got independence in 1947 but the Congress party had not been able to provide good governance to the people of India. (ANI)
