Baba Ramdev's heath stable: Doctors

Dehradun, June 13 (ANI): Doctors attending on Baba Ramdev at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Jolly Grant, here on Monday said the health condition of the yoga guru was 'stable' and 'under control'.

Dr Deepak Goel, part of the medical team that is monitoring Ramdev's health, said: "Health of swami Ramdev is stable now and is far better than before. Today, he has shown some movements and took bath also. Now he has starting consuming fruits and juices orally. Improvement has been seen in his health parameters, but doctors have advised him to take complete rest. So, today he will take complete rest here."

"There is a little bit of fluctuation but BP (Blood Pressure) is almost normal. There is nothing to worry about, as it was earlier. At present, his BP count is 115/ 78," he added.

Ramdev ended his nine-day-long fast after being persuaded to do so by a host of spiritual leaders, including Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Morari Bapu.

However, the Baba and the spiritual leaders on Sunday said that their campaign against corruption and return of black money from abroad would continue.

Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal visited Ramdev at the hospital on Sunday.

BJP leader Uma Bharti also met Baba Ramdev for the second time last night after he broke his fast. Uma Bharti was re-inducted into the BJP last week.

"Baba's aide confirmed he had juice and broke his fast, he had fruits... when I went to meet him, he was sleeping. Doctors are saying that he is recovering," she said.

The yoga guru had been on a hunger strike against corruption along with 65,000 followers when the Delhi Police on the Central government's orders cracked down on their camp late on the night of June 4 in New Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. (ANI)
