Dhaka, June 6 (ANI): Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao arrived here on a two-day visit to review bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh.
She was received by Bangladeshi officials at Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport.
During her visit, Rao will call on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and other Bangladeshi leaders.
The visit is being seen as providing a platform for Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's visit to Dhaka in the near future.
Issues such as counter-terrorism and the sharing of waters, besides further promotion of economic ties are likely to be discussed during the visit. Indo-Bangladeshi trade crossed 3500 dollars in fiscal 2010-11.
The two sides may also discuss the boundary agreement that exists between the two countries.
