London, June 6 (ANI): England skipper John Terry still believes that his side has the capability and the capacity to finish among the top international teams in the run-up to next year's Euro Cup, despite a disappointing draw against Switzerland at the Wembley stadium over the weekend.
In an article for the Daily Express, Terry said he had no qualms about England's ability to get to Ukraine and Poland the hard way.
England next travel to Bulgaria and then entertain Wales at Wembley before what looks to be a pivotal game in Montenegro on October 7. Three wins would see England home at a canter. But a draw in Montenegro - or even an unthinkable defeat - could push Fabio Capello's side into the lottery of a two-legged play-off in November.
"We always seem to leave ourselves with an uphill task. We always make it difficult for ourselves so we've certainly got the experience to deal with that," Terry said.
He added: "Ideally we'd like to be in a better position but hopefully other results will go our way and we can still qualify top of the group." (ANI)
