PPP delegation meets JUI-F leader Wasay to express regrets for terrorist remarks

Quetta, June 6 (ANI): A Pakistan People's Party (PPP) team led by Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazlur Rehman) (JUI-F) leader Maulana Abdul Wasay to express regrets over remarks made by the provincial PPP president, Mir Sadiq Umrani.

Umrani had described the JUI-F as a terrorist organization, the Dawn reports.

The delegation is believed to have told Wasay that President Zardari was saddened by Umrani's remarks and viewed the religious party as a victim of terrorism.

The PPP leaders told Maulana Wasay that Zardari had great respect for the leadership of JUI-F.

Federal minister and Provincial General-Secretary of PPP Ayatullah Durrani and former federal minister Baz Muhammad Khetran accompanied Raisani to the Wasay's residence. (ANI)
