New Delhi, June 3 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday named BJP leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's aide-Rajendra Singh Rathore as an accused in the fake encounter case of Dara Singh.
According to sources, three witnesses of the CBI-Vijendra alias Tilia, Ramkishan Singhani and Devilal alias Debuda are the ones who have implicated senior BJP leader in the case.
The CBI had reportedly got their statement recorded in a Delhi court on February 4 and 8.
The three who are residents of Shekhawati region in the state, have said that Rathore was behind the encounter.
Dara Singh was killed in a police encounter on the outskirts of Jaipur on October 23, 2006.
Later, his family alleged that the encounter was staged. On their plea, the Supreme Court handed over the case to the CBI in April 2010.
The CBI has already arrested four police officials in connection with the case so far. (ANI)
