Melbourne, May 30 (ANI): Lady Gaga has revealed that she went bankrupt due to the cost of her detailed costumes and her ever-changing sets during her 'Monster Ball' tour.
"I put everything in the show and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the [tour]," News.com.au quoted the singer as telling Stephen Fry in an interview for the 'Financial Times'.
"And it was funny because I didn't know! I had five No 1 singles, the Monster Ball's doing great, and they said, 'Well, you're 3 million dollars in debt," she added.
However, Billboard had reported in May that the tour was the biggest ever by a debut-headlining artist, and estimated that the shows had grossed 227.4 million dollars. (ANI)
