Punjab CM Badal's wife passes away

Chandigarh, May 24 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's wife, Surinder Kaur Badal, died here this afternoon at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) of throat cancer. She was 72.
Surinder Kaur was admit ted to the PGIMER earlier this month. She is survived by her husband and two children, a son and a daughter. Her son Sukhbir Singh Badal is currently the president of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) party and Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab.
Surinder Kaur would be cremated Wednesday at Badal village in Punjab's Muktsar district. (ANI)
