A.K. Seth appointed next Cabinet Secretary

New Delhi, May 24 (ANI): Ajit Kumar Seth was on Tuesday appointed the next Cabinet Secretary succeeding K.M. Chandrashekhar who retires next month.

 

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has cleared the appointment, officials said.

 

Seth will serve as an Officer on Special Duty in the Cabinet Secretariat till June 13 and assume charge on June 14.

 

Seth, a 1974 batch IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, is serving as Secretary, Public Grievances and Co-ordination in the Cabinet Secretariat. (ANI)
